John E. Fisher and Associates, PC is a Land Surveying and Civil Engineering firm located in Lafayette, Indiana. We offer a comprehensive range of Land Surveying and Civil Engineering services, with an emphasis on commercial and municipal site developments.  We have been a part of a number of large scale site construction and building staking projects in the Lafayette area, and feel that our knowledge and experience would be of substantial benefit to your projects.

Fisher and Associates has extensive experience and knowledge in commercial site development. We are familiar with all aspects of site design, including: geometric layout, grading, drainage, storm water detention, storm water quality management, erosion control and utilities. We have a strong working relationship with the local officials of Lafayette and the surrounding community, and are very knowledgeable of the requirements of local municipalities. Our portfolio of work includes large apartment complexes, living communities, shopping centers, churches, day care centers and franchise restaurants. Examples of our large scale work include school additions, university construction projects, and large industrial complexes. Whether your site is large or small, we will work with you on a one-to-one basis to create a project which is well engineered and aesthetically pleasing to you and the public.

 Fisher & Associates provides construction layout; land title surveys; as-built and topographic surveys; site design and drainage design for subdivisions and commercial/industrial projects; and virtually any other type of survey or civil design that is required for the project.  

 Fisher & Associates relies upon 2 primary factors to ensure that the project is done right the first time.  Related work experience of key personnel is often a critical element in the project cycle; over half of our staff has 10 years’ or more experience in the profession.  With Fisher & Associates, you always get personalized client service, with direct access to the owner, project engineer, and other personnel; this emphasis on client service is your guarantee that you will be satisfied with our services.  

Brief History:

 Fisher & Associates was founded in 1992 as a successor to John E. Fisher Company. Together the two firms have spanned over 45 years in the Land Surveying and Civil Engineering professions.
We were lead from 1960 to 1995 by John Fisher who was in charge of surveying and engineering operations. In 1995 Roger Fine, who had been a partner of John Fisher, became company owner and president. Roger is a Land Surveyor licensed in the State of Indiana, and has over 30 years of experience in the Surveying field. The remainder of the professional staff is made up by Kyle Betz, who holds licenses as both Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor. Together the professional staff of John E. Fisher & Associates has over 40 years in the Land Surveying and Civil Engineering professions.

 John E. Fisher & Associates was originally located at Main and 16th Streets, in Lafayette. In 2002 we moved to our current location in a business center located on South Earl Avenue, 1 block North of Kossuth Street.
